Chris Hodge and Family
 Chris and Natasha Hodge have
been working in Kaliningrad, Russia since June of 2000.
Their vision is to reach the lost for Christ, and disciple them
in the Word so they in turn will be able to reach their own
people with the gospel message. Many of the pastors and
workers of the Kaliningrad area have had little or no training
in the Word. To meet this need the Hodges began two Bible
training schools from which they have equipped and graduated
over 50 ministers and church workers.
In 2001, God began to impress on Chris' heart
a burden to reach the students in the Kaliningrad area.
The region itself has over a million people and five major
universities which train future leaders in economics, government
and military studies. This burden presented quite a
challenge since the universities themselves are run by old-line
Communists ideas making it hard to infiltrate. However, as
the church prayed about this situation, God opened two amazing
doors of opportunity.
Chris was first approached by the dean of a
private university about beginning a theological department in
their university. After much prayer and God's blessing,
the department of theology is now operating with two full-time
teachers. At the same time Chris began to speak with a
representative of the Kaliningrad State University about
beginning a student fellowship. At first, there was much
resistance to this idea, but after prayer, the Lord not only
opened this door, the university has now asked Chris to be a
full-time professor. These open doors have allowed the
Hodges to reach many students with the gospel.
The future Russia is in its young leaders.
Your prayer and financial support will help the Hodge family as
they work to win the next generation of young leaders for
Christ.
