History of Pi Kappa Pi
In the Fall of 1987, a student by the name of
Dan Noel felt that the Lee College campus needed another Social
Service Organization. This organization would be different than
all of the rest. Their purpose would be "to provide an avenue of
social service dedicated to projecting the role-model of Jesus
Christ as a servant-leader!" In connection to this, they would
also proclaim faith in God, scholarly pursuit, and campus
fellowship as their preeminent goals. Once the
organization had set it’s goals and intent, the only thing left
was to select the first members that would pioneer a new route
that others would greatly admire. Dan Noel had a dream that was
met with these solid charter members: Dan Noel, Mark Hall, Mike
Smith, Chris Hardy, Stacey Aldredge, Steve Wright, Albert LaBoy,
Sean McCall, Jon Rummel, Frank Lewis, Marty Irons, and Nathan
Tullier. These men are the foundation of what Pi is now made of.
These 12 men started a legacy that has continued to produce
Christ-like leaders for years to come.
Pi Kappa Pi has a rich history as you can
already see. Our history includes famous as well as ordinary
people. Being a part of this brotherhood is not for everyone,
but not limited to a certain kind of person as stated in our
Declaration of Intent. |
